Arnold, 34, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Arnold of Bedford, Mont. A navy spokesman said the two fliers were on a routine test mission involving takeoffs and landings when the helicopter dived into the ground and burst into flames. The cause has not been determined. Delalio won the navy cross at Midway in June of 1942 when he and other marine pilots took their scout planes into the air against the big Japanese naval force moving toward Hawaii. Arnold won the air medal for his air patrol work against the Japs in the Aleutian islands about the same time. He also held a navy medal for the rescue of a fisherman in Wallapa Bay, Wash., on Aug. 14, 1944. Delalio is survived by his widow, two sons who are 6 years and 18 months old, and a daughter who is 4. Arnold is survived by his widow and two daughters, 8 and 5.
