He was the son of August and Etta Dunn Haase, born in Lee County on July 16, 1901. He was a retired auto mechanic and had lived in Ottumwa for several years prior to moving to Des Moines in 1948. He was the son of August and Etta Dunn Haase, born in Lee County on July 16, 1901. He was a retired auto mechanic and had lived in Ottumwa for several years prior to moving to Des Moines in 1948. He was married to Elizabeth Bower on March 9, 1945 in Kahoka, Mo. She survives. Also surviving are four brothers, Earl and William Haase, both of Toledo, Ohio, and Burl and Delbert Haase, both of Keokuk; and three sisters, Mrs. Kathryn Moore of Toledo, Mrs. Ann Fogle and Mrs. Vivian Webster of Keokuk. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Vendel W. Olson officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. The casket will be closed at the beginning of the service.
