Burial in the Victor Memorial Cemetery. Edward Dale Maschmann was the son of George Walter and Dassie Louise Sims Maschmann. He was raised in the Victor area and graduated from Victor High School. He was a veteran of the US Army and stationed at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs during the Korean Conflict. He was married to Janet E Witte on April 6, 1958 in Homestead, Iowa. A union of nearly 60 years! To this union were born two daughters; Marilyn and Lori and one son Scott. They owned and operated Timberview Angus Farm north of Victor for many years. They moved to Victor in 2004 and continued farming until 2006. Ed was a member of St James Lutheran Church, Iowa County Cattleman's Association, and Hawkeye Angus Association. Ed believed in his faith, family and farming. He knew the value of hard work and running a successful farm operation. He enjoyed attending cattle shows and attending most of his four grandson's activities. He also enjoyed watching baseball and was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
