Funeral services were held Monday, December 29 at 1:30 p.m. in St. Peter Lutheran Church with burial in Summit Hill cemetery. Pallbearers were Paul Wenell, Art Auen, Henry Kleen, Mervin Rebhuhn, Vernon Sievers and Roy Waggie. Mr. Otteman was born near Albert City and attended schools there. He married Alma Haefner at LaMoille, Ill., December 28, 1920. They farmed near Albert City until 1962 when they moved to Pocohontas. Preceding him in death was a daughter, Mrs. Gevonne Rebhuhn.
