The visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. A family rosary will be said at 8:30 A.M. Burial will be at St. Boniface Cemetery at a later date. His nephews will be pallbearers. Ed was born on January 9, 1961, in Clinton, Iowa, to Leo and Mary (Cassady) Droste. He graduated from Northeast High School. Ed resided in Clinton County for most of his life on the family farm near Elvira and then in Clinton. He worked at the Clinton Herald for several years and most recently as custodian at Prince of Peace Parish. Ed was preceded in death by his parents Leo and Mary Droste; a brother, Thomas; a sister, Margaret; sister-in-law Carol Droste; 2 nephews, and a great nephew.. A special thanks to the Prince of Peace family where Ed enjoyed working these past few years, to the staff at Pathways and the support they provided for Ed and to Arlene Considine who became a wonderful friend and second mother to Ed. Memorials can be made out to Prince of PeaceParish in Clinton, Iowa.
