Description	:	Edward H. Rich, 57, of Dryden and well-known former resident of East Wenatchee, died Tuesday evening, April 22, 1997, in Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane. He was born on Sept. 10, 1939, at Hillsboro, Ore., to Roy L. and Clara A. (Feil) Rich. In 1945, the family moved to East Wenatchee, where he grew up and received his early education. On Feb. 18, 1961,... Read More	Edward H. Rich, 57, of Dryden and well-known former resident of East Wenatchee, died Tuesday evening, April 22, 1997, in Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane. He was born on Sept. 10, 1939, at Hillsboro, Ore., to Roy L. and Clara A. (Feil) Rich. In 1945, the family moved to East Wenatchee, where he grew up and received his early education. He later attended Wenatchee High School, graduating in 1957. During high school and following graduation, he was employed by his father at Rich Sand and Gravel, which later became Roy Rich and Sons. On Feb. 18, 1961, he married Georgia Rae Wilken at Dryden, and they made their home in East Wenatchee. Edward continued to work with the family business until it was sold in 1981. He was then employed by the Douglas County Public Works Department until his death. In October 1996, he and Georgia moved to Dryden to make their home. Edward served three terms as an East Wenatchee city councilman; he was past president of the Wenatchee Jaycees, a Chelan County Fair antique car judge and for several years coached girls softball and also was a past board member of the Girls Softball Association. He is survived by his wife, Georgia Rae, of the family home; one son, Brad Rich, of Dryden; one daughter, Kimberly Rich, of Yakima; one grandson, Byran Rich of Yakima; three brothers, Don Rich of East Wenatchee, Ron Rich of Cashmere and Gary Rich of Clayton, Calif.; and one sister, Sandra Ginter of Vancouver, Wash. He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter. Ward's Funeral Chapel, Leavenworth, is in charge of arrangements.
