He was preceded in death by his parents, and a granddaughter, Caitlin Brown. Edward was born April 8, 1934, in Oxford Junction, the son of Edward H. Lietz Sr. and Ruth Wilkins Lietz. He married Betty Kitzmiller on June 10, 1954, in Rolla, Mo. He was employed at Colonial Bakery for 42 years as manager of shipping and receiving. Edward was a member of First Lutheran Church and the Eagles Club. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, yard work, the outdoors and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He served in the United States Army during peace time. Memorials may be made to Mercy Hospice.
