Funeral services for Edward will be 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at the Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Lone Tree. Pastor John McKinstry will officiate the services. Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Eric Frame, Shaun Frame, Kyle Rossman, Keaton Rossman, Justin Rossman, Jacob Rossman, Mike Parizek and John Parizek. Honorary casket bearers will be Alan Burr, Ron Cerny, Jack Larew, Carl Ogren, Brent Parizek, and Wyatt Parizek. Following the committal services at the cemetery, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Lone Tree American Legion. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 29, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Lone Tree Fire and Rescue in memory of Edward. Edward was born on the family farm of Henry Fred and Remda Johanna (Knussman) Rossman of Lone Tree, Iowa on January 15, 1926. He was a 1945 graduate of the Lone Tree High School. On October 9, 1949 he was married to Margaret Elaine Heller of Yates City, Illinois. Edward was a livestock farmer. He was also a dealer of Vigortone livestock premixes for many years. Edward was a member of the Grace Reformed Church of Lone Tree and later Conesville, Iowa. At the Lone Tree church he served as Treasurer. He was also a Member of the South Eastern Angus Association of Iowa. He enjoyed playing cards, hunting and bowling with his friends. He also enjoyed fishing trips to Minnesota and traveling to other points of interest. After he retired from farming, he loved planting trees and has many new fruit trees in the orchard. Edward also enjoyed his children coming home to the farm. Edward will be deeply missed by his wife, Margaret, his children, David and his wife, Holly of Cape Coral, Florida, Diane Keller and her husband, Scott of Garden City, Kansas, Robert and his wife, Rhonda of Riverside and Richard and his wife, Donna of Lone Tree; eight grandchildren, Jessica Stellish and her husband, Sean of Commerce City, Colorado, Danielle Rossman of Denver, Colorado, Eric Frame and his wife, Jennifer of Washington, Shaun Frame and his wife, Jennie of Burlington Jct., Missouri, Jacob and Justin Rossman of Riverside, Kyle Rossman of Columbus Jct., and Keaton Rossman of Lone Tree; and five great-grandchildren, Connor, Hannah, Adisyn, Maxon, and Bryland. Edward was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Arlene (two years old), and Helen and Elaine (as infants); and a great grandson, Kaden Frame.
