M. Mr. Jorgensen, superintendent of salmon hatcheries for the state fisheries department, was widely-known in the Kent community, having been born and reared here and attended Kent schools. Forty-eight years of age, he had been with the state fisheries department for 28 years. He formerly resided near Burlington, but for the past four or five years had made his home in Seattle. He resided at 3616 East 48th street. At Burlington he became a Past Master of the Burlington Masonic Lodge, and the fraternity conducted the final Masonic rites with Rev. Dr. R. J. Arney as chaplain. Mr. Jorgansen was born November 25, 1892 at Kent and grew to young manhood here. Burial was in the Kent cemetery under direction of Chittenden's. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ruth Jorgensen of Seattle, the former Ruth Calhoun of Kent; three sons, Edward, Calvin and Robert, and a daughter, Ruth, all of Seattle; two brothers, Chris of Kent and Adam of Seattle; and a sister, Mrs. Anna Woodworth of Concrete."
