Description	:	Edward Lee "Junior" Knott, 85, of Luray, died on Sunday, May 25, 2014, at Hawksbill Assisted Living. He was born on July 16, 1928, in Luray and was a son of the late Edward Lee Knott and Neva Virginia Judd Knott. Mr. Knott was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired in the 1990s from Centel, with 40 years of service. On July 29, 1978, he married Mildred Kathleen Jenkins, who died on July 25, 2010. He was born on July 16, 1928, in Luray and was a son of the late Edward Lee Knott and Neva Virginia Judd Knott. Mr. Knott was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired in the 1990s from Centel, with 40 years of service. On July 29, 1978, he married Mildred Kathleen Jenkins, who died on July 25, 2010. He is survived by two daughters, Linda Parr of Keswick, and Sue Jenkins of Fort Myers, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Kim M. Chetto of Marquette, Mich., and Windell D. Faine of Loris, S.C.; two sisters, Patsy McCoy of Stanley, and Edna McNeil of Luray; and a brother, Russell Knott of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Lou Clark and JoAnn Knott. A celebration of life service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, at the VFW Comer-Jones Post 621 in Luray. Burial will be in the Beahm's Chapel Cemetery in Luray. Memorial contributions may be made to the VFW Comer-Jones Post 621, 218 Veterans Lane, Luray, Va. 22835.
