Read More	Obituary From Ottumwa Tri-Weekly Courier, October 16, 1915: In Memoriam Edward Odell was born in Manatough, Mo., August 2, 1876, and fell asleep in Jesus September, 8, 1915, being at the time 39 years, one month and seven days old. He was married to Mary Thomlinson, seventeen years ago in Missouri and came to Ottumwa fifteen year ago. For some time he was employed by a railroad company and about four years ago he started in the grocery business. He was converted ten years ago and united with the East End Presbyterian church in which he held the offices of elder and deacon. But the greatest work of his life was done in connection with the little May street chapel which he loved so well. He was elected to the superintendency of the chapel about five years ago and his work will live on for all eternity. He is survived by his wife and six children, five boys and one little girl, also his mother, three sisters and two brothers. He was for some years subject to attacks of hay fever and asthma, which recurred annually about this time. His last illness lasted only about three or four weeks during which time he was able most of the time to be up and about the house. On Wednesday morning September the 5th he went to the hospital little realizing that he was never to come back alive to his little home. He passed away peacefully into the realms of eternal bliss which Jesus prepared for his children. Funeral services were conducted at the chapel by his pastor Rev. Carl A Montanus. Interment in the Shaul cemetery. Memorial services were Sunday September, 19.—Contributed.
