Description	:	Edward L. Peck, 74, formerly of Tipton, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at his home in Bettendorf. Memorial services will be 1:15 p.m., Saturday, December 16, at the Tipton Fire Station, Tipton. A time of food, fellowship and remembrance will follow the services until 3:00 p.m., at the Tipton Fire Station, Tipton. Edward Lynn Peck was born June 19, 1944, in Iowa City, the son of Charles and Maurine (Chapman) Peck. He attended the Tipton Community School and graduated Tipton High School in 1962. He was employed in the trucking business for 50 plus years, dispatching and managing multiple companies across the United States. He was an avid fan of football, to include the Iowa Hawkeyes, baseball, and NASCAR, making annual trips with his brothers to Michigan to watch the Michigan 500. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, going to the casinos and playing cards. He spent many hours reading and had a large library. He never married, but loved his many nieces and nephews dearly, as was evident from all the pictures that were placed around his home and always was there for all their important events. He is survived by one sister, Sandra Sturdy; one sister-in-law, Darlene Peck; three brothers, Richard (Maureen) Peck, Donald (Sue) Peck and Thomas Peck; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Judith Rife, two brothers, Dennis and Robert Peck and one brother-in-law, Keith Sturdy. Fry Funeral Home
