He lived all his life in the Victor community where he received his education at the Victor Public School. He had a great love for the farm, staying there even when he retired from active farming. He lived all his life in the Victor community where he received his education at the Victor Public School. He had a great love for the farm, staying there even when he retired from active farming. On March 5, 1895 he was married to Josie Rosenberger of Ladora. To this union five children were born: Trellis of Las Vegas, Nevada; Ray of Sun City, Arizona; Lee, Edna, and Mary (Mrs. Emmet Bohstedt) of Victor. Besides his children he leaves to mourn his passing one sister, Mary Kilmer of Portland, Oregon; two daughters-in-law, five grandsons, three great grandsons, five great grand daughters and other relatives and frineds. Preceding him in death were his wife, father, mother, five sisters, one brother, one daughter-in-law and one grand-daughters. Funeral services were held from the McAninich Chapel Thursday, December 24 at 2 o'clock with Rev. Glenn Fink officiating assisted by Arthur Lang. Two songs, "Sunset Hour" and "Going Down The Valley" by quartet Dennie Eggert, Tim Daniels, Kirk Muller, Ronnie Eggert with Mrs. Milo Von Seegen, organist. The casket bearers were: Frank Thys, August Gryp, John Van Otegham, John Maschmann, Frank Michalek, Russell Maschmann. Burial was in the I.O.O.F.
