Description	:	Highland Recorder February 12, 1904 Fell 100 Feet From Bridge Ed Bryant, son of Henry Bryant the postmaster at McDowell, who was working with bridge force near Knoxville, Tenn, fell from a bridge, a distance of one hundred feet and was seriously hurt, it is hoped not fatally, however. He had an arm and a leg broken and iss now in a Knoxville hospital. Mr Bryant was apprised of the act Monday evening and is trying to get more particular information. Bryant, of McDowell, to recover damages for the death of his son, Edward, came came up early in July, at Kingston, Tennessee, and resulted in a hung jury ..... He was forced to hang down to save his life, and the steel being very cold and covered with frost, the jar and tremor of the passing car caused him to lose his hold.
