Description	:	Edward William Buckingham, son of Edgar and Blanche (Hannah) Buckingham, was born near Beaver Crossing, September 5, 1915 and died December 30, 1963. He was graduated from the Beaver Crossing high school with the class of 1933. He helped his father on the farm before entering the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1937. In 1939 he entered the Civil Service in Omaha where he remained until entering the armed services in 1942. At the close of the war, he returned to Civil Service work in St. Louis. Read More	Edward William Buckingham, son of Edgar and Blanche (Hannah) Buckingham, was born near Beaver Crossing, September 5, 1915 and died December 30, 1963. He was graduated from the Beaver Crossing high school with the class of 1933. He helped his father on the farm before entering the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1937. In 1939 he entered the Civil Service in Omaha where he remained until entering the armed services in 1942. At the close of the war, he returned to Civil Service work in St. Louis. On September 18, 1949, he married Dorothy Hansen. In August 1950, he was recalled to military service and spent one year in Korea. In July 1963, the family returned from a four year term of duty at Elmandorff Air Force Base, Anchorage, Alaska. He was stationed at Luke Air Force Base at the time of his death, having received the rating of Senior Master Sergeant and serving in the air force for 16 1/2 years. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; a son, Richard; a daughter, Vicki; his father, Edgar Buckingham; a brother, Willard, Friend; and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Rhoades, Lincoln and Mrs. Elmer Krasser, Beaver Crossing. Services were held January 6 at the Methodist church in Beaver Crossing with burial in the Beaver Crossing cemetery. Pallbearers were Willard Buckingham, Frank Rhoades, Elmer Krasser, Art Hanson, Clarence Ihde and Chief Sgt. Fox of Luke Air Force Base.
