Description	:	Edwin Renschler, 93, died May 23, 2005, in a Bismarck care center. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Bismarck Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Burnett officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck. Edwin Renschler was born May 20, 1912, to John and Dorothy (Shock) Renschler, at Linton, where he was raised and educated. Edwin moved to Steele during the 1930's and was employed as a farm laborer until 1942, when he purchased his own farm near Sterling. Edwin married Melita Fischer July 22, 1953, in Linton. They began their lives together and started a family and farmed near Sterling, until 1969, when they moved to Bismarck. Edwin was employed at the Bismarck Hospital briefly, then went to work for the State of North Dakota. After his official retirement, he remained employed at the State Laboratories until 1999 at age 87. Edwin is survived by his beloved wife, Melita Renschler, Bismarck; son, Larry Renschler (Michael Walsburg), Saint Paul, Minn.; special nieces, Freida (Willard) Keller and Leone (Allen) Wanner; and numerous extended family. Edwin was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lydia Stenerson and Rose Job; and brothers, Emil, Theodore, Reinhold and William. The family wishes to acknowledge and thank the staff of the Sunrise Cottages, the Medcenter One Hospice Team, and parish nurse, Cammy (Tammy) Bray, for their loving and gentle care provided during Edwin's time of need.
