On January 12th, 1873, he was united in marriage to Mollie A. Harris, and to this union five children were born. Those, with their mother, survive him. The children are Carl and John Oldham, of Portland, Oregon; Sylvester Oldham, of Stamford, Oregon; Mrs. Eva Vanhoy, of Portland, Oregon, and Bud Oldham, of Goldendale, Washington. On January 12th, 1873, he was united in marriage to Mollie A. Harris, and to this union five children were born. Those, with their mother, survive him. The children are Carl and John Oldham, of Portland, Oregon; Sylvester Oldham, of Stamford, Oregon; Mrs. Eva Vanhoy, of Portland, Oregon, and Bud Oldham, of Goldendale, Washington. He also leaves two brothers and two sisters: -- P.W. Oldham, of Kansas City, Mo. and William P. Oldham, of Whittier, Cal.; Mrs. Cassie Campbell and Mrs. Alice Welch, of Kansas City, Mo. Mr. Oldham crossed the plains with his family in the year 1881, locating in Goldendale, Washington during its pioneer days. After living at Goldendale for a short time, he, with his family, moved to Toledo, Wash., where they resided for fifteen years, after which they returned to Goldendale, at which place they lived practically the remainder of his days. At twenty years of age he confessed his Savior, and united with the Christian Church in the State of Missouri; and to this confession he continued faithful to the end, with the hope of the life beyond. He died at his home in Goldendale, Washington, on the 9th day of August, 1917, at 10:45 A.M., at the age of 66 years, 8 months and 5 days. Besides his relatives, he leaves a host of friends to mourn his death. Funeral services were held in Goldendale at the Chapman Undertaking Parlors, on Saturday, August 11th, 1917, at 10:30 A.M., and interment in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery on same date, Rev. W.N.
