He passed away at Fillmore County hospital, Geneva, May 13, 1973, at the age of 66 years. At an early age he and his parents moved to Grafton, Neb. Read More	LUDWIG, EDWIN WILLIAM—Edwin William Ludwig, son of William and Anna Ludwig, was born August 30, 1906, at Barada, Neb. He passed away at Fillmore County hospital, Geneva, May 13, 1973, at the age of 66 years. At an early age he and his parents moved to Grafton, Neb. He was baptized in infancy into the Lutheran faith and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran church at Grafton. He was united in marriage to Viola Walters, December 20, 1931. To this union was born one son, Raymond Ludwig of Milford, Ia. December 21, 1968 he was married to Rose Christensen at Prince of Peace Lutheran church at Geneva by Pastor Woodrow Wilson. Mr. Ludwig was engaged in farming in Fillmore county until two years ago when he retired and moved to Shickley, his present home. He was preceded in death by his wife Viola and his parents. Surviving are his wife, Rose; his son, Raymond; daughter-in-law, Shirley, and two grandchildren, Ricky and Diane; his sister, Mrs. Rose Cool of McCool, and his step-mother Ora Ludwig of York, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 15, 1973, at 2 p.m. at Stockholm Lutheran church, of which he was a member. Pastor Woodrow Wilson officiated. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. The Mennonite male quartet, Wayne Kempf, Henry Lauber, Clinton Lauber, and Lowell Steider, sang “How Great Thou Art” and “Beyond the Sunset”, accompanied by Mrs. Lee Roy Hendrickson at the organ. Pallbearers were Marvin Asseln, Walter Heinrichs, Edwin Johnson, Floyd Kauffman, Ellsworth Miller and Kenneth Walters. The Nebraska Signal 24 May 1973 page 5.
