Description	:	Eileen Ann Scheinost Dahlheim, 97 years, formerly of North Bend, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2018. She was born on September 27, 1920 in Creighton, NE to Tony Scheinost and Albie Dobry Scheinost. Eileen attended grade school in Ideal, SD and moved to Verdigre, Creighton, Norfolk, Osceloa and North Bend, NE where she attended North Bend High School and graduated in 1938. Read More	Eileen Ann Scheinost Dahlheim, 97 years, formerly of North Bend, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2018. She was born on September 27, 1920 in Creighton, NE to Tony Scheinost and Albie Dobry Scheinost. Eileen attended grade school in Ideal, SD and moved to Verdigre, Creighton, Norfolk, Osceloa and North Bend, NE where she attended North Bend High School and graduated in 1938. After high school she moved to Fremont, NE attended one year at Midland College and worked as a bookkeeper at Kohlmeyers Hardware Store for one year. In June, 1941, she took the Portland Rose train to Springfield, OR where she married Leonard Dahlheim. They moved to Pasadena, CA in 1941, where she was as an accountant for Lockheed Aircraft in Burbank. During the war, she moved back to North Bend while Leonard served in the Navy. She was a housewife, worked at Wolf Insurance Agency for 13 years; and helped out at their business, the North Bend Locker Plant. They were happily married for 77 years. Eileen was a member of the United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school, member of the United Methodist Women’s Club, Order of Eastern Star for 75 years and president of the Goldenrod Garden Club for two years. She was Cub Scout den mother. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, playing bridge, her 29 African violets and her grandchildren. Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; parents Tony and Albie Scheinost and brother Don Scheinost. Eileen is survived by her sons; Gary (Diane) of West Des Moines, IA and Robert (Bob) (Jeanne) of North Bend, NE.; six grandchildren; Suzanne Johns, Wendy Hart, Andria Mann, Alex Dahlheim, Brett Dahlheim and Ashley Dahlheim; thirteen great grandchildren; her sisters Norma Hamilton and Evelyn Winkleman, of North Bend ; her nieces and nephews and other relatives. A memorial service will be 10:30 A.M., Friday, August 24, 2018 at Moser Funeral Home in North Bend. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5-8 PM, Thursday, with family and relatives. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery. Lunch will follow the burial at the Masonic Lodge in North Bend.
