Description	:	Our beautiful and loving mother, Eileen Faye Shimskey, went home to be with our Savior on Sunday, April 13, 2014. She had endured many years of pain and suffering as a result of health complications related to multiple sclerosis, which she was diagnosed with in the late 1980s. Read More	Our beautiful and loving mother, Eileen Faye Shimskey, went home to be with our Savior on Sunday, April 13, 2014. She had endured many years of pain and suffering as a result of health complications related to multiple sclerosis, which she was diagnosed with in the late 1980s. This winter proved to be especially difficult, resulting in multiple health complications that led to her passing Sunday. We were blessed to have such a strong and selfless mother, daughter, sister, cousin and friend in our lives for more than 65 years. She fought and endured years of suffering without complaint so we could all be blessed by her sweet, loving and giving presence as long as possible. She showed us all how to love selflessly, to fight the good fight no matter what the odds and to trust in our Lord Jesus. Eileen was born on Oct. 3, 1948, in Billings to Sam and Mildred Frank. She was the older sister to her brother, Stan Frank, who was two years younger than she. She grew up in Park City, where her family lived and farmed just west of town. She graduated from Park City High School in 1966 and went on to obtain a Nursing Certificate in Denver. She eventually moved back to Billings where she married her high school sweetheart, Patrick Frank Shimskey, on Nov. 18, 1967, at St. John's Lutheran Church. Eileen and Patrick worked and raised their two children in Billings. Eileen worked at Deluxe Check Printers until her multiple sclerosis symptoms made it too difficult for her to continue. She loved working at Deluxe and she was blessed to have made many lifelong friendships while working there. Eileen was married to Pat for almost 27 years until Pat's death on Oct. 13, 2004, as a result of an automobile accident. They enjoyed traveling, golfing and spending time with family and friends. They eventually moved to Laurel, where they built a home together to live out the rest of their lives. After Pat's passing, Eileen spent time in both Montana and Texas, enjoying time with her family, friends and beloved grandchildren. Those who remain to miss and mourn her passing include her two children, son Rick (Lori) Shimskey of Kennewick, Wash., daughter Pamela (John) Madrigal of Houston; four grandchildren, Logan, Landon and Lexi Shimskey of Kennewick and Maximo Madrigal of Houston. She is also survived by her parents, Sam and Mildred Frank; and brother and sister-in-law, Stan and Sue Frank; and three nieces, Wendy, Cindy and Lena. She will also be missed by six cousins, numerous friends and extended family including her sister-in-law, Cheryl Robinson. The family would like to thank Pastor Pullman and the third floor staff and doctors at St. Vincent's Healthcare for their loving and compassionate care of our mother and daughter. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to be made to St. John's Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Laurel.
