He was born Jan. 4, 1946, in Billings, a son of Alex and Betty Shimskey. He grew up in Park City and lived in Billings, and most recently resided in Laurel. He served in the Air Force for four years. Pat was a sales rep for Briggs Distributing in Billings and had retired from this position. He loved every sport and especially enjoyed fishing. The love of his life was his wife Eileen. Pat was a member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church, American Legion and the Eagles. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Alex Shimskey; and a brother, John Michael Shimskey. Survivors include his wife, Eileen of Laurel; one brother, Dan Shimskey of Park City; and two children, son, Rick (Lori) Shimskey of Kennewick, Wash.; daughter Pamela (Jose) Madrigal of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren, Logan and Landon of Kennewick, Wash. He is also survived by his in-laws, Sam and Mildred Frank; and brother-in-law Stan (Susan) Frank; and five nieces. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Mount Olive Lutheran Church of Billings. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 18, at Smith Funeral Chapel-Laurel. Interment will be in Park City Cemetery.
