Born Feb. 18, 1925 in Wayne Township, Jones County, the daughter of Benhard H. and Anna M. Bohlken, she graduated from Anamosa High School in 1943 and married Laurence A. Schulte on June 28, 1978, in Fairfax. She worked in sales at Armstrong's and for The Gazette before her retirement. Eileen was a member of First Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids and the church circle, life member of VFW Unit 788 Auxiliary and an auxiliary member of Pekomy Post 572 American Legion of Fairfax. Eileen also was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha business sorority. Survivors include her husband, Laurence; a daughter, Carol(Doug) Dalton of Madison, Wis.; two sons, Kevin (Jill) Morgan of Cedar Rapids and Mike (Dawn) Morgan of Lisbon; three sisters-in-law, Elaine (Al) Oujiri of Cedar Rapids and Jeanne (Bill) Gibney and Bernice (Dick) Zenisek, both of Fairfax; eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Eileen was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Irvin, Leonard and Ernest Bohlken; a sister, Alvina Wilken; and a grandson Aaron Morgan. Eileen will be remembered for her bright personality and her love of family, home, birds and most of all, people. She was loved by all who knew her.
