Eucharistic ministers will be Danielle Prebeck and Donna and Joea Kemper. Servers will be Chase, Jared and Jacob Prebeck. Gift bearers will be Amanda Nichols and Kindra and Danielle Prebeck. Casket bearers will be EuGene Prebeck, David Prebeck, Dale Prebeck, Bill Prebeck, Randy Prebeck and Jon Prebeck. The Catholic Daughters of the Americas will have an honor guard. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery at Templeton. Visitation starts at 3 p.m., the CDA will lead a rosary at 4 p.m. and a prayer service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Thursday at Ohde Funeral Home in Manning. A daughter of Bernard and Elizabeth (Fangman) Lechtenberg, she was born Sept. 22, 1926, on a farm between Templeton and Manning. She grew up in the area, graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Templeton in 1944 then helped her family on the farm. She and Alphonse "Allie" Prebeck were married May 10, 1949, at Sacred Heart Church. They had seven sons. The Prebecks resided on a farm west of Templeton and moved into Templeton in 1961. Mrs. Prebeck was a farm wife, was an operator for Templeton Telephone Co. and was bookkeeper for the family business, Prebeck Construction. Her husband fell ill in 2000 and she took care of him until his death in 2002. Mrs. Prebeck was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Ladies Guild and Catholic Daughters, was an Altar Angel for her parish and volunteered at the Hausbarn Heritage Park in Manning. She enjoyed walking, playing cards, crocheting afghans and tending her lawn. Survivors include five sons: EuGene Prebeck and wife Eileen of Templeton, David Prebeck and wife Kathy of Fort Dodge, Dale Prebeck of Templeton, Bill Prebeck and wife Karen of Templeton and Randy Prebeck and wife Joanna of Johnston: seven grandchildren: Amanda Nicholas and husband Brandon, Jon Prebeck, Kindra Prebeck, Danielle Prebeck, Chase Prebeck, Jared Prebeck and Jacob Prebeck; a great-granddaughter; a sister, Ruth Kisgen, of Templeton; a brother, Dan Lechtenberg, of Templeton; and a sister-inlaw, Elaine Lechtenberg, of Denison. Mrs. Prebeck was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Allie; two sons: Joseph Prebeck in infancy and Daniel Prebeck; and a brother, Alois Lechtenberg.
