Description	:	Elaine Iris Willson, 88, of Shell Rock, Iowa, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2002 at the Shell Rock Healthcare Center in Shell Rock of natural causes. Elaine was born on May 14, 1914, on the farm in Shell Rock, Iowa the daughter of Harry and Mae (Metzger) Fuller. She graduated from Shell Rock High School and attended Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls. Following her education, she taught country school for a couple of years. Read More	Elaine Iris Willson, 88, of Shell Rock, Iowa, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2002 at the Shell Rock Healthcare Center in Shell Rock of natural causes. Elaine was born on May 14, 1914, on the farm in Shell Rock, Iowa the daughter of Harry and Mae (Metzger) Fuller. She graduated from Shell Rock High School and attended Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls. Following her education, she taught country school for a couple of years. On September 23, 1937, she was united in marriage to Walter F. Willson at the First Baptist Church in Waterloo, Iowa. They lived in Shell Rock until 1941, when they moved to Oelwein, Iowa and in 1946, they moved back to Shell Rock. Elaine was employed at Carvers Restaurant and later as a lab tech for Carnation for a number of years She was a member of Shell Rock United Methodist Church, the Eastern Star, Rebekah Lodge, Care Center Board and belonged to the Know Your Neighbor Club. Survivors are her daughter, Lavon Grimes of West Des Moines, Iowa; four sons and their spouses, James and Cheryl Willson, Kenneth ''Hank'' and Rita Willson, Thomas and Rosemary Willson and Daniel and Rebecca Willson all of Shell Rock, Iowa; fourteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; two sisters, Esther Renning and Madeline Metzger both of Waverly, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter in Oct. of 1991; and by an infant son, William. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 22, 2002 at 10:30 am at Heritage United Methodist Church, Waverly, Iowa with Pastors Realff Ottesen and Steven D. McGinley officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Shell Rock, Iowa. Friends may call from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm with the family present from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, November 21, 2002 at the Funeral Home in Shell Rock, Iowa and one hour before services at the church. Memorials may be left to the Shell Rock Community Trust.
