Description	:	On Sunday, October 21, 2018, Elaine M (Lammers) Croson passed away at the age of 88. Elaine was born in Hooper, NE on August 9, 1930 to Eugene (Dean) and Rose Lammers. She graduated from Hooper High School in 1947 and Methodist Nursing School in 1953. Elaine worked for doctors Heusel and Eaton upon graduation. Read More	On Sunday, October 21, 2018, Elaine M (Lammers) Croson passed away at the age of 88. Elaine was born in Hooper, NE on August 9, 1930 to Eugene (Dean) and Rose Lammers. She graduated from Hooper High School in 1947 and Methodist Nursing School in 1953. Elaine worked for doctors Heusel and Eaton upon graduation. In her later years she was director of nurses at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Scribner, Hooper Care Center and Tilden Nursing Home. In 1980 she was awarded Hooper's Commercial Club employee of the year. On March 27, 1954 Elaine married Alan D. Croson. She was a loving devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother to their 3 daughters, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Elaine was an active member of Faith United Methodist Church in Hooper, Methodist Women's Society and the Hooper American Legion Auxiliary Post 18 for many years. Elaine and Al moved back to Fremont after retirement to be close to family and friends. They spent many winters in Yuma, AZ enjoying the sunshine, shuffleboard and golf. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Alan (Al); infant son, Cory, 2 brothers, Donald and Robert Lammers and sister, Audrey Collins. She is survived by daughters, Cindy (Randy) Ennis of Omaha, NE, Nancy (Paul) Morris of Fremont, NE and Barb (Wayne) Summers of Parker, CO; grandchildren, Jessica ‘Morris’ Cornell, Jennifer ‘Morris’ Correro, Elizabeth ‘Oviatt’ Einspahr, and Jeremy Morris; great grandchildren, Jenna Cornell, Sophia Gutierrez , Addyson and Connor Einspahr; several nieces, nephews and special friends, Mike and Robynn Ewing and their sons Zach and Bryce. Memorial Service 10:30 A.M., Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Faith United Methodist Church in Hooper, NE. Private family interment will follow at the Hooper Cemetery.
