He was a heavy equipment operator, retired from Western Contracting of Sioux City, Iowa. He was born on Oct. 11, 1906 at West Points, Ne. He lived most of his life in the Hooper community with the exception of short periods when his work took him to other locations. He has lived permanently in Hooper since 1968. Other survivors include one son, Robert Lammers of Kearney, Ne; two daughters, Mrs. Alan (Elaine) Croson of Battle Creek, Ne and Mrs. Bill (Audrey) Collins of Edmund, Okla; two brothers, Louis & Otto Lammers, both of Sioux City, Iowa, fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Katherine (Clymens) Lammers; son, Donald Lammers; brothers, Armand, Harry, Gerald and Amos; sister, Margaret Wicklund; and half-sister, Myrtle Sparks. Funeral services were Saturday, September 17, at Faith United Methodist Church in Hooper, The Rev. Hiram Lilley officiated. Pallbearers are grandson's Robert, Pat, Paul and Donald Lammers, David Sauls, Bill Collins and Fred Oiatt. Memorials may be given to Faith United Methodist Church.
