Following her father's death, she moved to Ladora with her family. This has been her home since that time. In September of 1912 she was united in marriage to Emil Maschmann at Ladora. Read More	Source: The Victor Record 9/15/1976 Elba Maschmann Services Held Wed., Sept. 8 Elba Hawley was born June 20, 1895 in the state of Nebraska. Following her father's death, she moved to Ladora with her family. This has been her home since that time. In September of 1912 she was united in marriage to Emil Maschmann at Ladora. Mr. Maschmann passed away in 1918. In December of 1919 Elba was united in marriage to William Maschmann. Mr. and Mrs. Maschmann were privileged to have observed over 38 years of marriage at the time of Mr. Maschmann's death in 1957. Elba continued to make Ladora her home until May of this year when she became a residence of the Rose Haven Nursing home in Marengo. It was here that she entered into rest on Sunday, Sept. 5. She had attained the age of 81 years, 2 months and 15 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, three children, Harold, Lena Marie and James W.; one brother, Porter and one sister, Icy. She is survived by one daughter, Nadine, Mrs. Frank Kays of Council Bluffs; two grandchildren, Amanda and James W.; her twin sister, Mrs. Emma Formanek of Orange, Calif; several nieces and nephews, other relativces and many friends. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Sept. 8, at the McAninch Chapel in Victor with Rev. Carl Lueders officiating. Two songs, "The Old rugged Cross" and "In the Garden" were played by Jane McHarg. In care of flowers were Mrs. Margaret Daniels and Mrs. Ed. York. Burial was in the IOOF cemetery at Victor with Ernest Shaull, Wayne Shaull, Vernon Primley, Robert Martin, Wayne York and Wayne DeDecker serving as casket bearers. ---------------------------------------------------- Children: Nadine James Parents married in Nebraska: Jud Hawley Mary McMahon Source: The IAGenWeb Project
