He farmed at Aurora, worked for a pipeline company and was a driver for Concordia Creamery. Cote, 76, Minneapolis, died Thursday, July 9, 1992, at St. John's Regional Health Center, Salina. Mr. Cote was born Jan. 14, 1916, at Aurora and had been a Minneapolis resident since 1957, moving from Aurora. He farmed at Aurora, worked for a pipeline company and was a driver for Concordia Creamery. He was part-time custodian at Minneapolis Clinic, worked part time for Eldorado Motor Corporation, was a driver for the Minneapolis Good Samaritan Center and was custodian at Minneapolis High School until retiring in 1981. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Minneapolis. He was preceded in death by two infant sons, Donald and Mark. Survivors include his wife, Isabelle K of the home; eight daughters, Joan Brown, Mary Drummond and Janice Rupert, all of Salina, Carol Gyre and Cynthia Paladino, both of Olathe, Margery Williams of Albuquerque, N.M., Betty Hernandez of Topeka and Christine Gehring of Vilseck, Germany; a brother, Abner of Concordia; five sisters, Annette Ashland of Clyde, Lorette Rogers, Lorene Tremblay and Dorothy Tremblay, all of Concordia, and Geneva Hess of Haysville; and 17 grandchildren. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Minneapolis, Monsignor James Hake officiating. Burial will be in St. Concordia Cemetery, Concordia. An Altar Society rosary will be said at 4 p.m. and a parish rosary at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Shields Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Memorials may be made to the church or the Ottawa County Hospital-Head Injury Unit, Minneapolis. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday and until 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, Minneapolis and after noon Monday at the church.
