Eldora was born September 15, 1924, in Bremer County, Iowa, the daughter of Herman and Helen (Bergmann) Bahlmann. She was baptized on October 12, 1924, in St. Paul's Evangelical Church in Leroy Township by Rev. Fischer. Read More	Eldora (Bahlmann) Hagen, 91, of Marshalltown, Iowa, formerly of Denver, Iowa, died Monday, May 30, 2016, at Glenwood Place in Marshalltown. Eldora was born September 15, 1924, in Bremer County, Iowa, the daughter of Herman and Helen (Bergmann) Bahlmann. She was baptized on October 12, 1924, in St. Paul's Evangelical Church in Leroy Township by Rev. Fischer. Her memory verse was "Verily I say unto you, whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein." Eldora was confirmed on April 10, 1938, at St. Peter's Evangelical Church by Rev. Theo Thomas and her memory verse was Psalms 124 verse 15 16, "The eyes of all wait upon thee and thou givest them their meat in due season. Thou openest thine hand and satisfies the desire of every living thing." Eldora attended school at LeRoy #3, Rima School. On July 11, 1941, she was united in marriage to George Hagen in St. Peter's Evangelical Church in Tripoli, by Rev. Theo Thomas and her memory verse was Ruth 1 verse 16, "Whether thou goest I will go; and where thou lodgest I will lodge, thy people shall be my people and thy God my God." To this union three children were born, Barbara, Mary Jean and Steven William. Eldora and George farmed north of Tripoli for several years and Eldora also worked for the Sumner Nursing Home for many years. In 1971, Eldora started working at Allen Hospital in Waterloo, retiring in 1990, after 19 years of service. Eldora was a faithful member of Faith United Church of Christ in Tripoli. She enjoyed playing cards and gardening. Eldora is survived by one daughter; Mary Jean (Gary) Heinemann of Sloan, Iowa, one son; Steven William (Becky) Hagen of Marshalltown, Iowa, 6 grandchildren; Nancy Heinemann, Susan (Eric) Rose, Joel (Tracy) Heinemann, Ben Hagen, Mike (Kim) Hagen and Alicia (Tony) Jacobson, 7 great grandchildren, Adam and Ethan Rose, Broc and Brooklyn Heinemann, Lucas and Katelynn Hagen and Brennan Jacobson, two sisters; Maxine Volker of New Hampton and LaDonna Lampe of Waverly, one brother; Virgil Bahlmann of Clermont. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Barbara in infancy, husband George in 2012, two sisters; Iola Buchholz and Ruth Rosol, one brother; Stanley Bahlmann. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Faith United Church of Christ in Tripoli. Burial of her cremated remains will precede the service at 9:30 a.m. in Faith United Church of Christ Cemetery, Tripoli. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1, at the Kaiser Corson Funeral Home.
