Keller died suddenly at her home in the Bear Paw mountains last Thursday night from heart failure, after she had retired to bed. Miss Eldora Bruner was born at Anita, Iowa, Sept. 1st, 1874. She was one of three children born to Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Bruner. Her early childhood was spent at Anita, Iowa, from which place the family emigrated to Sun Dance, Wyoming, where she grew to womanhood, receiving her education in the public schools of that place. She was married to Mr. George M. Keller of Sun Dance, Wyoming, on Feb. 23, 1893, going to Cascade, Nebraska, where they made their home for seven years, from which place they came to Montana, going out on their homestead in the Bear Paw mountains, where they have resided ever since. Here they met the hardships, privations, joys and sorrows incident to life of those pioneering in a new country. There came to bless the union five children, three of whom with the father were present at their mother's crowning, two having died early in childhood. These twenty years spent in rearing the family and making a home and assisting many others like them in developing the state we all love so well, brought with them the sacrifice, and toil and privations incident to those blazing the trail for those who were to come later. But mingled with these was also the joy of building where no one had built before and seeing the small beginnings develop into competency that when declining years should come they, with their children reared and out in life battling for themselves, they might spend them in comfort and ease. But before their longings and aspirations are reached, the grim hand of death has stolen into the home and lifted from its midst the wife and mother, and the heart is desolate, and the home is still and vacant, for when mother is gone it seems the center and heart of the home is gone. But we know that the hand that made us never made any mistakes so what seems now to be blighted hopes and unfinished tasks will some day be found by this mourning household the richest of God's blessings. Out of this neighborhood has gone a devoted wife and mother and a sincere friend and neighbor whose place cannot be filled but whose memory will always be cherished by all who knew her. Present at the obsequies were the husband, George M. Keller, and their three children, Bertha M., John F., and Thomas J., also Mrs. Keller's brother, Mr. John Bruner of Missouri Valley, Iowa, and sister, Mrs. Jeff D. English and her family. Mr. Keller's brother, Mr. J. Keller of Cascade, Nebraska, and his sister, Mrs. G.H. Cos of Purdam, Nebraska, and with them in sincerest sympathy friends and neighbors from far and near. A life well spent leaving precious memories until we meet again. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. C.E. Haynes at the Methodist church on Monday afternoon. Interment was made in the Big Sandy cemetery.
