Mrs Foster died at her home near New Market Oct 24, four weeks after the death of her husband. Interment was at Memory Cemetery near New Market. She was a daughter of the late Jacob S. and Elizabeth Neely, born in the New Market vicinity and lived her entire lifetime in that community. She is survived by two sons, Fay Foster of Cool, Calif., and Merritt Foster of Clarinda, and by one sister, Mrs C.C. (Jessie) Mayhew of Villisca. Bedford Times-Press, Bedford, Iowa, Oct 1964 Eldora R. Neely Foster, youngest child of Jacob S. and Elizabeth R. Neely, was born Aug 15, 1887, near New Market, Ia. She passed away at her home Oct 24, 1964 at the age of 77 years, two months and nine days, after a lingering illness. On December 26, 1906, she was united in marriage to Samuel M. Foster of New Market, Ia, who passed away only four weeks ago. To this union two sons were born, Ray of Cool, Calif, and Merritt of Clarinda, Ia. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, eleven brothers and sisters, and her devoted and faithful husband. Those left to mourn her passing are her two sons, Ray and Merritt, two daughters-in-law, Opal and Bernice, one grandson, Scott Foster of Palo Alto, Calif, and a great-grandson Brett; a sister Mrs Clay (Jessie) Mayhew of Villisca, Ia, and a host of other relatives and friends. At an early age she placed her faith in God and truly lived a Christian life. She was also a member of the New Market Eastern Star Lodge No 481. "Doad", as she was most familiarly known, liked to do kind deeds for her family and friends, and never missed the opportunity as long as she was able to do so. She will be greatly missed indeed. Funeral services were held Oct 27 at the Walker funeral home. Clarence Potter was officiating clergyman, and Aletha L. Hutchings was organist. Burial was at Memory cemetery, New Market.
