She was born June 25,1918, in Quimby, the daughter of Elmer and Gretchen Hursh Clark. She graduated from Quimby High School, then attended the American Institute of Business at Des Moines. On Aug. 22, 1940, she married Perry Ronald Courtright at Quimby. The couple lived in Ida Grove until 1981, when they moved to Mesa. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church at Ida Grove and the Velda Rose United Methodist Church, Mesa. She served many years as church organist, taught piano and organ lessons, was a 4-H leader and Rainbow Mom and was a member of the Eastern Star. Survivors include: a daughter, Marilyn and her husband, David Noll, Sioux City; and a son, Gary and his wife Barbara, Edwards, Ill.; four grandchildren, Debra Manning, Mesa; Dr. David Manning and his wife, Dr. Patricia Manning, Guilderland, N.Y.; Brenda Noll, Sioux City; and Bryan Noll and his wife, Brenda, Sioux City; and three great-grandchildren, Austin, Whitney and Brylee Noll. She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; one brother, Harold Clark; and one sister, Virginia Anderson.
