Description	:	Mrs. E. Elizabeth Ray, 77, of 32 E. Main St., Middletown, died Monday, Aug. 6, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Orville D. Ahalt, who died December 1947, and Weldon B. Ray who died in 1973. Born March 25, 1913, in Rocky Springs, she was a daughter of the late Charles L. and Martha Eleanor Sponseller Cramer. Mrs. Ray was a devoted member of Zion Lutheran Church, Middletown, and was the hostess, for may years, of Middletown's Food and Friends. She also was a member of Middletown Senior Citizens. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Orville D. Ahalt, who died December 1947, and Weldon B. Ray who died in 1973. Born March 25, 1913, in Rocky Springs, she was a daughter of the late Charles L. and Martha Eleanor Sponseller Cramer. Mrs. Ray was a devoted member of Zion Lutheran Church, Middletown, and was the hostess, for may years, of Middletown's Food and Friends. She also was a member of Middletown Senior Citizens. Surviving are one son and his wife, Daniel and Debra Ahalt of Columbia; one sister, Louise Stroup of Middletown; two brothers and their wives, C. Eugene and Maureen Cramer of Lancaster, Pa., and John and Dorothy Routzahn of Middletown; two nieces; and two nephews. Friends may call noon-9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, at the Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main St., Middletown. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Mrs. Ray will be removed to Zion Lutheran Church in Middletown at 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 10, where friends may call until time of services at 2 p.m. The Rev. Donald L. Turley, Mrs. Ray's pastor, and Blaine E. Feightner, her assistant pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
