Description	:	Eleanor French was born in Huntington county, Pennsylvania, March 22, 1838, where she spent her early days. On April 29, 1858, she was married to Samuel Bair of Bedford county Pennsylvania. To this union were born twelve children. After her marriage, Mrs. Bair with her husband, lived a short time in Knox county, Illinois. In the year of 1870, they moved to their homestead in Fillmore county, Nebraska, where they lived until the death of the husband, which occurred April 5, 1912. Read More	Eleanor French was born in Huntington county, Pennsylvania, March 22, 1838, where she spent her early days. On April 29, 1858, she was married to Samuel Bair of Bedford county Pennsylvania. To this union were born twelve children. After her marriage, Mrs. Bair with her husband, lived a short time in Knox county, Illinois. In the year of 1870, they moved to their homestead in Fillmore county, Nebraska, where they lived until the death of the husband, which occurred April 5, 1912. Five children had passed away also, namely, Edward Thomas, Mary Jane; also an infant daughter, and Mattie Eleanor, all of whom died in infancy. Mrs. L.R. King, the eldest daughter, died at Superior, Nebraska in 1903. Mrs. Bair leaves to survive here seven children, George W. of Lincoln, Mrs. Anna Frasier of Kearney, Edwin S. of Ord, Ernest M. of University Place, Mrs. Clara Shoemaker, William H. and Samuel W. of Fairmont; two brothers, J.D. French of Lincoln and A. French of Peru, Nebraska. She was an ever faithful and loving mother. At the age of thirty-six years, she was converted to the Christian faith and after moving to Nebraska she united with the Church of God. In 1895, she united with the Methodist Episcopal Church at Exeter, where she kept her membership until death called her Home. Mrs. Bair died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C.R. Shoemaker, December 7. She had reached the advanced age of seventy-seven years, eight months and fourteen days. Funeral service were held from the home of Mrs. C.R. Shoemaker on Thursday afternoon, December 9, at two o'clock, Rev. W.A. Albright of Grace Methodist Church of this city officiating. All of the children and one brother were present.
