Description	:	Samuel Bair was born in Bedford county, Pennsylvania, May 4, 1837, and as a boy was reared in that county. He was married to Miss Eleanor French of Huntington county, Pennsylvania, April 29, 1858. To this union was born twelve children, of whom five are dead, namely: Edward Thomas, an infant daughter, Mary Jane and Mattie Eleanor , all of whom died in infancy. Mrs. L.R. King, eldest daughter, died at Superior, Nebraska, September 24, 1903, aged forty-two years. Read More	Samuel Bair was born in Bedford county, Pennsylvania, May 4, 1837, and as a boy was reared in that county. He was married to Miss Eleanor French of Huntington county, Pennsylvania, April 29, 1858. To this union was born twelve children, of whom five are dead, namely: Edward Thomas, an infant daughter, Mary Jane and Mattie Eleanor , all of whom died in infancy. Mrs. L.R. King, eldest daughter, died at Superior, Nebraska, September 24, 1903, aged forty-two years. During the different periods of Mr. Bair's life he has lived in the following places: Bedford county, Pennsylvania, Knox county, Illinois, and since the year 1870, he has resided on the farm he homesteaded in North Farimont. He was converted, baptized and joined the Church of God at Indian Creek school house, in February 1874, serving several years in the capacity of deacon. In 1859 he was connected with the Methodist Episcopal Church of Exeter, Nebraska. Mr. Bair died April 5, 1912, aged seventy-four years, eleven months and one day, and leaves to survive him, the wife and seven children as follows: George W. of Lincoln, Mrs. Anna Frasier of Kearney, William H. of Fairmont, Edwin S. of Ord, Samuel W. of Fairmont, Ernest M. of University Place and Mrs. Clara F. Shoemaker of Fairmont. Also a half-brother, Jonathan A. Horton of North Fairmont. He was a faithful husband and a kind father. The funeral was held from the old home in North Fairmont, Sunday afternoon at 1:30, conducted by Rev. Lotan R. DeWolf, the widow and children all being present, and also the widowed son-in-law, L.R.
