Otte, 85, of Herington, KS died Sunday, November 25th, 2012, at the Rolling Hills Care Facility, Topeka, KS. She was born May 6th, 1927, at Burdick, KS the daughter of J. Emmett and Eva (Beougher) Train. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 29th, 2012, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Herington, with Pastor Bill Peterson officiating. Mrs. Otte will lie in state at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Herington Chapel, from 2pm until 6pm, Wednesday. Mrs. Otte was a homemaker. She worked at Beech Aircraft in Salina and later worked at the Herington Hospital as a C.N.A. from 1970 to 2003. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Herington. She was a former member of the Eastern Star and the Herington Country Club. She graduated from Diamond Valley High School, Burdick, with the class of 1945. She moved to Topeka to be near her son and family in 2009. Eleanor married Edwin E. Otte on June 23, 1946, at the Hebron Lutheran Church, Burdick; he preceded in death on April 18, 1996. She is also preceded in death by her son Delbert (03/04/1976), her daughter Karen Stevenson (03/25/2010), her brother Charles Train (02/23/1982), and her parents. Survived by her son Ken Otte (wife-Rebecca) of Topeka, four (4) grandsons [Christopher (Laura) Stevenson, Matthew (Daisy) Stevenson, Jeff Otte, & Jensen Otte], and six (6) grandchildren. Memorials are requested to the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Herington; or they may be sent in care of the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home & Crematory, Herington Chapel, 404 S.
