Services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 29, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with the Rev. Phil Kruse officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She married Edward L. Leuchs on Feb. 7, 1953, in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Platteville. She worked at the former Dubuque Packing Co. after high school until 1955, when they moved to Dyersville. Ellie was a full-time homemaker, an avid bingo player and enjoyed baking for her family. Her greatest joy was raising her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Ed; six sons, Ron (Marcia), of Worthington, Rick (Mary), of Dyersville, Mike (Sue), of New Vienna, Mark (Patty), of Dyersville, Dan (Kelli), of Epworth, and Don (Joan), of Dyersville; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Isabel Manuel, of Platteville, Wis.; and a sister and brother-in-law, Delores Langkamp, of Platteville, and Kermit Sherman, of Belmont, Wis. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Guerden Langkamp; two sisters, Marian Whitaker and Bea Sherman; and two brothers-in-law, Donald Manuel and Dale Whitaker.
