Description	:	LOWE, Eleanor M. "Sis" (Hohlmayer) 93, of Springfield passed away Wednesday evening July 18, 2012 in Good Shepherd Village after a brief illness. She was born in Springfield on December 20, 1918 the daughter of Albert and Louise (Hilbert) Hohlmayer. She was a member of St. Bernard Church and a former member of St. Joseph Church, member of the Catholic Ladies of Columbia #56 and the Father Bernard Guild at Mercy Medical Center. "Sis" (Hohlmayer) 93, of Springfield passed away Wednesday evening July 18, 2012 in Good Shepherd Village after a brief illness. She was born in Springfield on December 20, 1918 the daughter of Albert and Louise (Hilbert) Hohlmayer. She was a member of St. Bernard Church and a former member of St. Joseph Church, member of the Catholic Ladies of Columbia #56 and the Father Bernard Guild at Mercy Medical Center. Eleanor belonged to a card club for over forty years, was an avid Reds baseball fan, she enjoyed jigsaw and crossword puzzles and playing bingo. She had been employed as a bookkeeper at Hohlmayer Flowers for several years until her retirement. Survivors include two children and spouses, Carol A. and Robert Cast, Dolores and George Simons all of Springfield. Two very special brothers and a sister-in-law, Fr. Louis Hohlmayer, West Milton, OH and Albert "Boots" and Dolores Hohlmayer, Springfield. Six grandchildren, John and Joan Cast, Jennifer (John) Krichbaum, Lisa (James) Simons-Clark, Lori (Christopher) Thompson and Jason (Mindy) Simons, eight great grandchildren, Morgan and Aidan Krichbaum, Ethan, Katie and Sarah Thompson, Abby and Austin Simons and Tyler "Finn" Clark and two nephews, Joe and Dave Hohlmayer and a special friend, Margie Jung. Many extended family members at Good Shepherd especially, Rosie, Gretta, Cindy and a very special nurse, Beverly, who assisted our family and Mom as she prepared to enter the Gates of Heaven. To all of them we "Thank You". She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two years Walter E. "Bud" in June 3, 1993. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday in the Conroy Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Bernard Church. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.
