She had been in failing health for some time. Mrs. Wells was born in El Dorado, Kas., March 4, 1883, the daughter of Memrey and Caroline B. Weatherhead Cox. She married John Perley Wells, July 3, 1901, in Uniontown. Mrs. Wells was a member of the Uniontown Methodist Church. She was a past worthy matron of Mary A. Hepler Chapter OES. Surviving besides the husband of the home are a daughter, Mrs. Schley (Ruth) Geiger, Uniontown; two brothers, Ernest Cox, Iola, and Guy Cox, Topeka. There are two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Uniontown Methodist Church, with Rev. Joe Whitsitt, and Rev. Deane Endicott officiating. Interment will be in Uniontown Cemetery. Earl's Memorial Home has charge of the services.
