Description	:	Fort Scott Tribune, 1959 Mr. Monty E. Cox, 78, retired resident of Uniontown, died this morning at Mercy Hospital where he had been a patient for several days. Mr. Cox, son of Memrey and Caroline Weatherhead Cox, ws born May 214, 1880, at El Dorado, Kas. He was married to Gertrude Anderson in November 1901, at El Dorado. She preceded him in death in December, 1927, and he then married Cordia Ethel Payne on June 27, 1938 at Yates Center, Kas. They moved to Uniontown that year and made their home there until her death in 1964. ... Read More	Fort Scott Tribune, 1959 Mr. Monty E. Mr. Cox, son of Memrey and Caroline Weatherhead Cox, ws born May 214, 1880, at El Dorado, Kas. He was married to Gertrude Anderson in November 1901, at El Dorado. She preceded him in death in December, 1927, and he then married Cordia Ethel Payne on June 27, 1938 at Yates Center, Kas. They moved to Uniontown that year and made their home there until her death in 1964. Since the death of Mrs. Cox, Mr. Cox has resided alone at the home. Mr. Cox was a member of the Uniontown Methodist Church and had been very active in church work. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. J. P. (Myrl) Wells, a brother, Ernest, Uniontown, and a brother, Guy, Yates Center. There are several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Uniontown Methodist Church.
