Description	:	Eleanor Ruth Carlson, age 87 of Buffalo, Minnesota passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 30, 2021. She was born January 28, 1934 in Columbia Township, Eddy County, North Dakota, the daughter of Donald and Marguerite (Stedman) Topp. Eleanor grew up in Juanita, North Dakota, and graduated from Juanita High School in 1952. Read More	Eleanor Ruth Carlson, age 87 of Buffalo, Minnesota passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 30, 2021. She was born January 28, 1934 in Columbia Township, Eddy County, North Dakota, the daughter of Donald and Marguerite (Stedman) Topp. Eleanor grew up in Juanita, North Dakota, and graduated from Juanita High School in 1952. On December 17, 1955, Eleanor Topp and Keith Carlson were united in marriage in Juanita, North Dakota. To this union, two daughters were born: Julie and Joy. Eleanor was the best Mom and Pastor's Wife! Later in life, she began working at McDonald's in Aberdeen, South Dakota, for 34 years. She enjoyed meeting so many customers daily, greeting them with a friendly smile. Eleanor was a faithful church member and a member of many church women's groups. Eleanor was a talented artist, turning anything and everything into art. She made many beautiful chalk drawings and watercolor art. She enjoyed cooking, entertaining, and socializing with others. She had a big heart, checking in on others and helping out where needed. Eleanor was quite a character, she had an outgoing personality and enjoyed playing a prank or two on others. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her husband in 2007, Keith Carlson; parents, Donald and Marguerite Topp; brothers, Laverne, Leonard (Marilyn), Dennis; and brother-in-law, Allen Anderson. Eleanor is survived by her daughters, Julie (Bill) Hicks, Joy Vellema; grandchildren, Hannah Hicks, Caleb (Alyssa) Hicks, Abigail (Jacob) Lancaster, Michaiah Hicks, Chloe Hicks, Elizabeth "Libby" Bassett; great-grandchildren, Bradley and Evangelina; sister, Della Anderson; and many other family and friends.
