Burial will be later at Memory Gardens, Valley City, ND. Mr. Carlson died Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. Visitation at Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home. Keith C. Carlson was born on June 28, 1933 at Valley City, ND to Hilmer & Hazel (Curtis) Carlson. This is the area where he grew up and attended school. He graduated from Valley City High School with the class of 1951. He then attended Asbury College in Wilmore, KY for four years where he received his BA degree. On December 17, 1955, he married Eleanor Topp at Juanita, ND. He then taught public high school in Hastings, ND. He went on to preach at United Methodist Church in Douglas, ND from 1957-1959 and then at Rock Lake, ND from 1959-1961. He attended Garrett Biblical Institute in Evanson, IL from 1958-1961. From 1961-1964, he preached at United Methodist Church in Sterling, ND. They then moved to Akeley, MN where he preached at Evangelical Free Church from 1964-1967. In 1967, they moved to Cavlier, ND where he preached at First Assembly of God Church from 1967-1970. In 1972, they moved to Springfield, MN where he preached at First Assembly of God church until 1978 when they moved to Redfield, SD where he preached at the Assembly of God Church until 1984. They moved to Aberdeen where he was custodian at First Assembly of God Church from 1988-1995. He also worked at Service Master and McDonalds. Keith was a member of First Assembly of God Church. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Eleanor, Aberdeen; two daughters, Julie (William) Hicks, Buffalo, MN, Joy Bassett, Hullsville, MO; six grandchildren, Hannah, Caleb, Abigail, Michaiah, Chloe and Elizabeth. Keith is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Grant and one grandchild.
