The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 9 at 10:00 AM at Faith Lutheran Church in Rising City with Rev. Dave Schultz officiating. Interment will be in the Faith West Cemetery, rural Rising City. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Gass Haney Funeral Home and continue on Saturday from 9:00 AM until service time at the church. Hohndorf, was born March 24, 1932 on the family farm in Butler County, Nebraska, to Henry and Clara (Struebing) Prigge. She was baptized on April 17, 1932, and confirmed her Christian faith through confirmation on April 14, 1946. For a short time, Eleanora and her sister ran a café in Rising City, Nebraska. On March 24, 1952, Eleanora was united in marriage to Wilbert Hohndorf at Zion Lutheran Church in Garrison, Nebraska. Eleanora was a Red Cross volunteer at the Columbus Hospital for 10 years. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening (both vegetable and flowers), canning, sewing, and doing embroidery work. She was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church where she had taught Sunday school and held offices in the Ladies Aid. Eleanora was a member of different extension clubs and was on the Butler County Extension Board. She also served on the Butler County Election Board. She was a very creative person and was called upon to do entertainment activities for different family and other events. Eleanora is survived by: Son – Clint Hohndorf of Columbus, NE Daughter – Marilyn (Steve) Davies of Stromsburg, NE Grandson – Joel Davies of Lincoln, NE Grandson – Seth Davies of Ft.
