Elgena Christian Miller was born September 26, 1888 in Gibbon, Minnesota the daughter of Kristen and Katrina Miller. She grew up and attended schools in Gibbon, Minnesota. In 1912 Elgena came to Montana settling in Burns, South of Savage. She was married to Willis Hue Wilson on January 2, 1913 at Gibbon, Minnesota. They homestead in Wibaux County on Cottonwood Creek, east of the Yellowstone River. In 1919 they bought a farm west of Burns, Montana where they farmed until 1938, and then they bought a farm near Savage. They retired in 1956 and have lived in Sidney since. Willis died on November 21, 1957. Elgena moved to Richland Homes on October 7, 1974. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Savage. Elgena died Tuesday, May 18, 1976 at Richland Homes. Survivors include her son, Vernon E. Wilson of Savage; on daughter, Lila - Mrs Don Price of Corning, Iowa; one brother, Godtfred Miller of Savage; eleven grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Arlo M. Wilson on July 20, 1957; five brothers, Henry Miller on November 15, 1958, Soren Johan Miller on May 18, 1971, Andrew Miller on April 10, 1963, Jens Miller on September 5, 1955 and Conrad Miller on May 3, 1945; and one sister, Marie - Mrs. Christ Larson on August 27, 1950
