Description	:	OBITUARY FOR ELI MATTHEW LORANCE --------- Matthew Eli Lorance was born in Woodston county, Kansas August 29, 1870 , and departed this life at Cannon City, Colorado, August 6, 1927, at the age of 56 years 11 months and six days. He married Miss Nettie Mae Brooks at Novinger, Mo., in the year of 1897 (May 17). To this union were born four children: Willard Dolton, Mrs. Mae Cheapes, of Evanston, Wyoming; Mrs. Mrytle McKinney, of Armel, Colo. and Clara Lorance, of Grand Junction, Colorado. To this union were born four children: Willard Dolton, Mrs. Mae Cheapes, of Evanston, Wyoming; Mrs. Mrytle McKinney, of Armel, Colo. and Clara Lorance, of Grand Junction, Colorado. All are living except Willard Dolton who died in infancy. Their mother also died June 1, 1906. He is also survived by his father, two sisters and one brother: Mrs. Amanda Bell, of Haigler, Nebr.; Mrs. Elizabeth Crapson, of Hastings, Nebr. and John Lorance of Grand Island, Nebraska. He confessed Jesus Christ in 1920 and died serving his Master. He was brought to Stratton and was laid to rest in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery north of Stratton Wednesday of this week.
