Read More	Tragic Death of Elias Kitching ------------ Elias Easterbrook Kitching was born in Corwhin, Wellington County, Ontario, forty-six years ago, the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. John Kitching, and grew up on his parents farm. As a young man he came to Alberta, settling first in the Lacombe district where he worked with the late Senator Talbot and the Dominion Experimental Station before coming to the Red Deer district about 1922. He went first to Brookside Dairy Farm with Mr. A. Thibaut, after coming from Lacombe, and a few years late he moved into Red Deer and took over the retail end of the milk distribution business of Mr. Thibauts, which he has carried on ever since. In 1911 he was married in Corwhin to Miss Ella Richardson, who died in March, 1930, leaving six children. In December, 1933, he was married to Mrs. Lena Manson, who is now sorely bereaved. The children are: Helen, a graduate nurse at the Guelph, Ont., General Hospital; John, Dorothy, Emily, Charles and William at home. There are four brothers: Rev. J.W., Thorold, Ont.; Rev. George, Collingwood, Ont.; William, Guelph, Ont., and Percy on the home farm at Corwhin. The two surviving sisters are Mrs. Chris Moffat, Innisfail, and Mrs. J.H. Caldwell, Toronto. Mr. Kitiching was normally an exceptionally cheery man with a bright smile, and a kindly word for everyone, so that his untimely passing is particularly distressing.
