She was the daughter of Felix and Odelie (Aubin) Valliere. She was born May 15, 1894 in Island Pond, Vermont and lived most of her life in the Groveton area. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier in Groveton. She was a past member of the Daughters of Isabella and played the organ for her church for 71 years. (Valliere) Manning, 100, of 32 State Street, died Saturday July 9, 1994 at Weeks Memorial Hospital in Lancaster after a lengthy illness. She was the daughter of Felix and Odelie (Aubin) Valliere. She was born May 15, 1894 in Island Pond, Vermont and lived most of her life in the Groveton area. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier in Groveton. She was a past member of the Daughters of Isabella and played the organ for her church for 71 years. On Jan 9, 1915 in Groveton, NH she married Harold Leon Shoff, son of Leon Hollis Shoff and Mary Etta Blodgett. On May 19, 1958 in Groveton, NH she married Alfred George Manning, son of Alfred and Ellen Manning. Mrs. Manning was predeceased by her two husbands, Harold Shoff in 1954 and Alfred G. Manning in 1976. The family includes a foster son Eddie Pinette Jr. of Groveton who made his home with her since he was four years old and a stepson Francis J. Manning of Island Pond, Vt., seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Tuesday at St. Francis Xavier Church, Groveton with the Rev. Daniel Deveau pastor officiating. Burial was in Stratford Center Cemetery. Elinor was the daughter of Felix Alfred Valliere and Odelie Marie Aubin. Coos County Democrat 7/13/1994
