Description	:	GROVETON - Felix A. Valliere died on Saturday morning, after a long illness. Mr. Valliere was born in St. Anselem, P.Q., June 18, 1856, the son of Majorique and Eleanor Fitzback Valliere. He came to the States from Canada when a young man and located in Percy where he met and married Odelie Aubin on May 10, 1884. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Aubin. Valliere died on Saturday morning, after a long illness. Mr. Valliere was born in St. Anselem, P.Q., June 18, 1856, the son of Majorique and Eleanor Fitzback Valliere. He came to the States from Canada when a young man and located in Percy where he met and married Odelie Aubin on May 10, 1884. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Aubin. Mr. and Mrs. Valliere lived in Percy where their home was blessed with six children, two girls and four boys. In 1907 they came to Groveton where he was engaged in the bakery business. Later he was a successful blacksmith until the work seemed too heavy for his years and strength. The last of his active dealings in business was to invest in the property now known as the Riverside filling station on Brooklyn Street, formerly the Northumberland town school property. Through his efforts and energy the building was remodeled into apartments, and a filling station was erected in the foreground. His interest in his work and desire to be successful took his strength faster than the restorative forces promoted it, and for the past three years his health had continually failed him. He was honest and upright in all his dealings. His wife was first in his heart, his family was his pride and a great source of comfort in his life. He was a devout and sincere Catholic. He is survived by his wife, six children; Ida, Mrs. Barney Thomas, Frank Valliere of Berlin, John Valliere of Richmond, P.Q., Archie Valliere of Franklin, Elinor, Mrs. Harold L. Schoff and Albert Valliere of Groveton, one sister, Mrs. A. Boivin of Berlin and 12 grandchildren. The funeral was held Monday morning at the St. Francis Xavier Church. Rev. Father W.F. Pendergast sang the high mass of requiem and burial was in the Groveton cemetery, where committal prayers were said by Re. Father Pendergast.
