Funeral services were held at Trinity Lutheran church in Odebolt at 10:30 Friday morning, April 24 with the Rev. John R. Ramsey officiating. Mrs. Arnold Kies was organist and Mrs. Robert Flynnn was soloist singing "Asleep in Jesus," and "How Great Thou Art." Elisa Katherine Stehr, daughter of the late John and Mary Quade Koch, was born on a farm in Stockholm Township December 23, 1880. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith and was an honorary member of the Ladies Aid of Trinity church in Odebolt. She was married to William Stehr, of Stockholm Township, Iowa, March 12, 1901. they made their home on a farm near Kiron, Iowa. They had five sons and one daughter. They lived on the farm until they retired in 1945 at which time they moved to Odebolt. Mrs. Stehr's health has been failing for the past several months and she entered Park View Manor nursing home at Sac City, Iowa, where she lived until her death. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William, one son, August, one granddaughter, two great grandchildren, three sisters, Anna, Paulina and Ella, and two brothers Chris and Fred. Survivors include four sons, Albert and Alfred of Deloit, John of Odebolt, Marvin of Lake View; one daughter Mabel, Mrs. Ralph Wagner of Odebolt; 15 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter, and one brother, Carl of Boyer.
