Description	:	1.) Elise Feldhahn Moon was born at Hay Springs. Nebr., January 18, 1897. When 8 years of age her parent, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Feldhahn, moved to Lamoni to live in a community of those of their faith. That year she was baptized into the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Here in Lamoni she received her education and grew into young womanhood. Elise Feldhahn Moon was born at Hay Springs. Nebr., January 18, 1897. When 8 years of age her parent, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Feldhahn, moved to Lamoni to live in a community of those of their faith. That year she was baptized into the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Here in Lamoni she received her education and grew into young womanhood. August 18, 1918, she married Willard C. Moon. A few years later their daughter, Sadi Anka, was born. Near Lamoni and more recently in the town itself, their married life has been spent. Last August they celebrated the twenty-fifth anniversary of their marriage. During the past year impairment of her physical health appeared. Medical care a few months ago brought temporary relief. Last Wednesday, came a recurrence of illness. She was hastened to the independence Sanitarium. There she passed away Monday morning, September 27. She had sensed the approaching end and spoke freely of her going. Through the years she has considered her family as her major stewardship. She found satisfaction and happiness in the companionship and well-being of her husband and daughter. The keeping of her house and the building of her home was her joy. Her concern for and interest in youth were deep-seated and she opened her home to them continuously. Nature in its floral and faunal forms were appealing expressions of a kind and purposive Creator. After her, remain her husband, her daughter, Sadi Anka, her mother, and her brother, John, of Independence, Mo. To them comes the ennobling heritage of sustaining faith and inspiring companionship. MOON SUCCUMBED MON.; ILL 5 DAYS Rushed to Sanitarium Wednesday-Death Came at 9:00 A.M. -Services Yesterday Mrs. Willard C. Moon. 48, passed away at 9:00 a. m. Monday at the Independence Sanitarium following a serious illness of five days duration. Mrs. Moon became ill last Wednesday morning and a physician was summoned, but lessened pain at that time indicated the recurrence of an old ailment. By Wednesday evening her condition was such to warrant her removal by ambulance to the Sanitarium in Independence, Mo. Treatment prescribed there failing, she grew steadily weaker, and Saturday morning little hope was held for recovery. Lapsing Into a coma, her life quietly slipped away Monday morning. Cause of death was given as a heart ailment coupled with internal complications. Mrs. Moon, the former Elise Feldhahn, came to Lamoni from Hay Springs, Nebr., in 1905 with her parents, and resided here ever since. She was baptized into the [R]LDS church the year of her arrival and was active in church work until her death. Married August 16, 1918, to Willard C. Moon, one child, Sadi Anka, was born to their union. She, with the husband, survive, as does her mother, Mrs. Anka Feldhahn of Lamoni, and a brother, John, of Independence, MO. Funeral services were held from the Lamoni Coliseum yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon at 2:30. In charge of Dr. Roy A. Cheville, who was assisted by E. J. Gleazer and T. A. Beck.
